Just to underscore your point about the GPON market being oversupplied, other companies in the space you didn't mention include iamba Networks (which ODMs ONTs and OLT cards using its own chips, which it is offering for sale separately), plus Mindspeed, which has partnered with Terawave to develop a GPON chip that hasn't been introduced yet. Meanwhile, everyone in the space expects Infineon to announce a product, although the company is being very coy about its plans so far. Cortina has its eyes on the GPON market as well.

A development that might bring even more companies into the space is the trend toward developing a single box that combines the ONT with the home gateway. (France Telecom is said to be very interested in such a box for its GPON deployments.) Conexant and BroadLight have announced chips for this application, which may lead some of the home gateway IC people to respond in kind (perhaps through partnerships) if such a box proves popular.

For now. Fully exited with the recent bump up. IKAN was a better value at the time, hitting new lows while CTLM hit new highs. Anyone looking to consolidate DSL assets would go for IKAN well before CTLM and the valuation wasn't much different.

CTLM needs to be hacked into pieces and sold. I couldn't find anyone interested in doing it because it is just too small.
